Three celebrity baby covers in a row and it worked for Richard Desmond’s OK magazine. Jamie Lynn Spears’ baby photos, which reportedly cost OK! 1 million dollars, was the most successful, selling an estimated 750,000 copies on newsstands, according to the New York Post.
The Jessica Alba baby cover is said to have snagged around $1.5 million for her baby photos, which had newsstand sales of around 600,000.
The McConaughey cover is said to have landed $2 million to $3 million, sold about 550,000.
This is not only good news for OK! on the newsstand front, it’s great news on the ad sales front. OK’s ad sales team will be able to use these numbers against the competition in the second half of the year, which should help make these even a bigger success.
